“Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness,” Joe Pilates, the creator of the method, once wrote. The question that many of us face is how, given our busy lives, can we get there? My personal philosophy is my credo as trainer and instructor: healthy, physical movement is the gateway to a happy, fulfilling life.

Consider this: the stagnant body of a person is no different than a stagnant body of water. Imagine the last time you were near a still, green, algae filled pond versus a free-flowing river or an ocean. Movement keeps the water oxygenated and allows life to flourish within. Stillness, on the other hand, creates sediment. When we do not move our bodies, we become stuck and stagnant in other ways: mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I am passionate about helping my clients and friends create a life of flow, strength, and determination. An unstuck body creates an unstuck mind. Together, we can work to discover and create the strongest, most liberated version of yourself.

My style and work with you is derived from the Pilates and GYROTONIC® movement systems. Both techniques are comprised of low-impact, rhythmically-based, dynamic range-of-motion exercises that build intrinsic strength while improving flexibility. Both offer a total-body workout—with a strong focus on the mind-body connection—guided by a few key principles, including breath, concentration, precision, and flow. By blending the unique philosophies and elements of both methods into a cohesive routine that benefits everybody in multiple ways, I offer you a fun yet challenging workout that takes you to the next level in your health and fitness journey.


The benefits of these methods have been well-documented, with few to no drawbacks: from improving posture and preventing injury to increasing bone density, helping with/preventing osteoporosis. Further, they have positive effects on mental well-being, reducing symptoms of depression, anxiety and fatigue, and even boosting energy. Whatever your favorite form of exercise might be, Pilates and/or GYROTONIC®, will not only supplement and improve it…but might even become your new faves.
